21 September 2026. Done.

Right on schedule — and just in time for the Spring Equinox here in Australia — I typed the final words of the first draft of Daniel’s Choice, the first novel the new Byron Bay Boys series.

There’s still plenty of work ahead. Editing. Revising. Polishing. Making sure Daniel and Ethan’s story is as warm, romantic and satisfying on the page as it has become in my head.

What's most exciting is the story exists now. And that feels pretty bloody exciting.

Welcome to the world of the Byron Bay Boys

Daniel’s Choice is a contemporary M/M romance set among the beaches, rainforest, macadamia orchards and small communities of Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers of New South Wales.

At its heart are two men at very different points in their lives.

Daniel Crown is a successful Sydney lawyer who reluctantly returns to the place he grew up after the sudden death of his grandfather. He expects to settle the estate, sell the family macadamia farm and get back to the carefully constructed life he left behind.

Instead, he inherits far more than he bargained for.

A farm. A complicated legacy. A simmering dispute over the land.

And a decision about where he really belongs.

Then there’s Ethan Fraser, a younger Scottish ecologist brought into the region as part of a government environmental investigation. Smart, irreverent and considerably less confident about his personal life than his professional one, Ethan has his own reasons for keeping people at a distance.

Especially when being seen for who he really is still feels dangerous.

Daniel and Ethan aren't looking for each other.

Happily, they find each other anyway.

What follows is a story about attraction and trust, land and belonging, second chances, unexpected community — and two men discovering that sometimes the life you thought you were supposed to live isn't the one that feels most like home.

And yes, there’s a happily-ever-after.

With a touch of heat along the way.

Daniel’s Choice is the first story in the Byron Bay Boys series: heartwarming M/M romances about love, second chances and new beginnings in one extraordinary corner of Australia.

You might come for Daniel and Ethan. I hope you'll stay for the whole community.

And their story certainly isn't the end. Another Byron Bay Boy is already making quite a lot of noise in my imagination — and the next book in the series won't be far behind.
